Glee au: In which Kurt and Sebastian are brothers.

“How’s mom?” Kurt asked taking the seat beside Blaine. He didn’t look all that thrilled to see his brother, and Blaine was burning to ask why he’d never mentioned that he had a brother to begin with, but he decided to wait and get a feel of the situation first.

“Didn’t you get the wedding invitation?” Sebastian asked taking sip of his coffee.

“Must have gotten lost in the mail. What is this for her… husband number seven?” Kurt’s voice was laced thick with sarcasm.

Slowly a picture was starting to unfold for Blaine as he realized with horror that Kurt’s mom hadn’t died when he was eight. She’d left – she’d left Burt and Kurt behind. For what? Money? Fame? Kurt had always told him that his mom had wanted to be a Broadway star, had wanted to get out of Ohio and travel the world. The only reason she’d stayed was because she had gotten pregnant with Kurt right out of high school. Kurt had never told Blaine that his mom regretted staying though – that she’d regretted Kurt.

Sebastian simply continued to smile. “Tony’s good looking, young, and rich of course.”

Kurt nodded and took a sip of his own coffee as if he was used to hearing his mother’s husbands described like this. “Hmm… what did this one buy you? Another Rolex? A new Porsche?”

Sebastian didn’t react to the jab if that’s what it was. “I just got back from his vacation home in Paris, spent about four months there while he and mom were traveling. I got bored though so I thought I’d come down and see what Ohio is all about – spend some quality time with my big brother. I haven’t seen you in what a year?”

“Three actually…” Kurt corrected with a thin smile. “And how has your stay been so far? As exciting as you’d expected?”

“Not so much… but it’s getting more interesting,” Sebastian looked at Blaine then and Blaine felt his skin crawl. Kurt’s hand wrapped around his upper arm possessively and Blaine relaxed into the touch. “I heard your Glee club went to Nationals in New York last year. You should have called. I would have put you up in our pent house. Did you get the chance to see mom’s show?”

“It was sold out,” Kurt answered tightly.

“Too bad… I could have gotten you guys tickets and backstage passes.” Kurt’s fingers were digging into Blaine’s arm painfully and Blaine realized that he needed to get Kurt out of there before something regrettable happened.

“Well we really should get going… I have to get home and changed for our date tonight and I’m sure you’ll want to freshen up too?” Blaine asked looking at Kurt. They didn’t really have a date planned, but Kurt caught on quickly to what Blaine was trying to do and smiled, some of the tension easing out of his body and his grip on Blaine’s arm relaxing.

“Oh well, it was good seeing you big brother. We should totally get together some time and catch up… and you too Blaine.” Again Sebastian’s eyes raked over him, undressing him, and again Blaine felt himself cringe. “I look forward to getting to know you.”
